Item057: Apple CPU Cuff Links - Motorola, PowerPC, Canada
About the Jewelry
These cuff links are made from upcycled 1990s Apple microprocessor chips. These were used in several Apple computers. Technically it is an 800MHz PowerPC 750 microprocessor. The processor was made by IBM in Canada (says so right on the front). Because the processor is a Flip Chip, you are looking at the backside of the processor; it’s mounted face down. However, the chemical process of making the chip gives it a pink or teal hue that changes somewhat with the light.
Included in the resealable bag:
The 1" chip mounted on stainless steel cuff links (since these are handmade yours may look slightly different than the one pictured here, but satisfaction is guaranteed), and a ChipScapes card that gives information about this jewelry (see the picture).
