Early Computer Chips - The Firsts - Logic Chips, SIlicon Wafer, Chip Dies, RTL, ECL, DTL, TTL, CMOS
About this Artwork:
The artwork celebrates the creation of the computer chip. The earliest chips came out in the 1960s, over 50 years ago. The chips in this artwork represent the earliest chip-making technologies and even the chip-making process. Resistor-Transistor-Logic (RTL) technology is represented by a rare Fairchild 914 NAND/NOR gate. Emitter-Coupled-Logic (ECL) technology is represented by a rare Motorola 353 Half-Adder. Diode-Transistor-Logic (DTL) technology is represented by a very rare complete Mullard FCH211 silicon wafer. Transistor-Transistor-Logic (TTL) technology is represented by the Texas Instruments 74181. Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) technology is represented by very rare RCA 4061 SRAM chip dies. The artwork includes descriptions of the chips, technology, and the chip-making process. This an amazing combination of chips and technology and I will only be able to a very few of these artworks.
Framing:
The artwork is 9"x20" in a black shadow box frame, with glass. All framing materials are acid-free. A narrative about the artwork that includes the artist’s signature is placed on the back of the artwork.
Please note: The look of the artifacts in the artworks may vary, each piece is unique.
