Chip Antiqued - Mug

About the Artwork

This image is of a 1970's vintage microprocessor made by Signetics, the 8X300. This part of the chip is responsible for doing math and logic operations. These logic circuits are more irregular in their layout and often create interesting patterns. This image also makes it easy to see the different layers of the chip. What appears to be rough or antiqued areas is just the uneven texture of the aluminum traces that wire the chip.
