About this Artwork

This artwork displays the most influential microprocessors that shaped the early microprocessor industry. These are the first microprocessor offerings from Intel, MOS, RCA, Texas Instruments, AMD, Zilog, and Motorola. These 4 and 8-bit microprocessors have just a fraction of the computing power of today's microprocessors. Architecturally they were all very different and represented the innovation that existed before the industry consolidated on a few basic designs. The microprocessors in this artwork are the Intel 4004, MOS 6502, Texas Instruments TMS1000, Motorola MC6800, RCA CDP1802, Zilog 8400 (Z80), and the AMD 2901.

    Framing:

The artwork is framed in an 11"x14" black shadow box frame, with glass. All framing materials are acid-free. A narrative about the artwork that includes the artist’s signature is placed on the back of the artwork.
